Frequently Asked Questions

1.) Do you have to play College Golf to play on the HCGT?

                No, the HCGT welcomes all golfers between the ages of 17 & 23.

 

2.) How much is a membership to the HCGT?

There is no membership fee here at the HCGT, It is free to become a member of the tour.  You have to be a member to play on tour. Click Here to register for a  free membership. 

 

3.) How much does it cost to play in a HCGT event?

                $189.00

 

4.) What are the prizes on the HCGT?

Gift cards to the Hurricane Tour Shop are awarded to the top finishers in each tournament. 

The Hurricane Collegiate Golf Tour has worked to comply with all rules and regulations of the NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, and the USGA. However, all student-athletes are responsible for knowing the rules and regulations of their school and governing body. It is recommended that each student-athlete check with their school’s compliance office before accepting any prizes or gifts. (Rule 12.1.2.1.5 in NCAA Division 1 Manual)

 

5.) If I cannot play in a tournament what is the refund policy?

The HCGT has instituted the following refund policy for all events during the 2016 season. Before withdrawing from a tournament please review the refund policy.  All WD requests must be submitted via email ( info@hjgt.org ). Your email will be returned within 24 hours. In the email please contain the player’s name, reason for WD, and which option below you would like to choose. Please note that WD’s cannot be accepted over the phone and must be in writing. No exceptions will be made for any reason.

  • Requests for refunds received prior to 13 days before the first round will be honored minus a $25 administration fee.
  • Requests for refunds between 12- 7 days before the first round will be honored minus 50% of the entry fee.
  • A transfer may be requested up until 7 days prior to the first round. Please note that you must transfer your entry fee to a tournament of equal or lesser value or you will be charged the remainder of the balance. Participants are limited to one transfer per calendar year.
  • No refunds, credits, or transfers will be issued if a participant cancels their entry 6 days or less prior to the first round. No exceptions will be made.
